INFORMATION
Lucky Bird is a 35 year old female Blue and Gold Macaw. She has been good with everyone she has met so far and does not seem to have a preference for men or women. Lucky Bird was a chronic egg layer years ago, but this has been controlled with a deslorelin implant which is typically effective for 6-10 months. She has been diagnosed with a grade II/VI heart murmur and her vet suspects atherosclerosis. She is on daily medication for this. Lucky Bird should be evaluated by an avian veterinarian every six months to monitor this. She will need an adopter who is financially capable of caring for her, as well as enough experience to be able to medicate her every day.
